Coconut
Tomo Yasuda and Colter Jacobsen have played music as Coconut (for over 15 revolutions around the Sun) with a variety of musicians and artists. The name came from the Coconut syrup used to make Tomo's Coconut Latte drink special. The style is messy, funny, accidental with purpose, pop, bossa nova, folky, jokey, sad ballady, jazzy, soulful, and experimental. The line up for the last couple years has been Justin Loney on bass, Keiko Kayamoto on keyboard, Tomo Yasuda on guitar and Colter Jacobsen on drums.
In collaboration with the artist David Wilson, IN SONG SING ON is an ongoing assemblage of hand-written cover songs selected by various musicians, compiled in 3-ring binders for group sing-a-longs.
